The Greek Alphabet

Learning to read Koine Greek can be a great benefit for anyone interested in engaging with the Bible in its original langauges. But it is no small feat.

For starters, learning the alphabet is key. Here are a few versions of the alphabet for anyone interested in getting started.

Additionally, you can download a PDF version of both which can be printed out, or just used as a higher quality reference.

While We're At It...

Let's take a look at a few more resources for stepping into the world of Biblical Greek studies. There's a good chance this page will need a revision at some point to handle things better, but for now...

Daily Dose of Greek

This site, and newsletter, offer a well curated collection of Greek learning materials. There's even a section of videos that walks viewers through what appears to be a solid range of introductory level Biblical Greek.

A Primer of Biblical Greek

Authored by N. Clayton Croy, this has been a handy resource for me my initial approach to topic.

Additionally, there is A Greek Reader companion, authored by Mark Jeong, that offers some additional exposure in a graded fashion that matches the lessons in the primer.

Bill Mounce

And lest I forget, Bill Mounce is undeniably a modern authority on the subject. His website is full of great resource, but I won't pretend like it's incredibly user friendly. He's authored several helpful books, and put together loads of helpful resources useful across all levels of Biblical Greek studies.

The Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament

And finally, for now, is the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament. It is an authoritative sources of the original Greek Text of the New Testament. The value of this will be hard to appreciate without the ability to read and study the Biblical Greek language, to be sure. But for anyone looking to study the New Testament in its original language, this is a handy resource.

And Then Some

There are plenty of other resources on the subject, to be sure, and this page will likely continue getting some updates until it shakes out into a different page, or collection of pages, altogether. In the meantime, I hope you find these few highlights helpful.
